This pan seared tilapia recipe with mango salsa is super healthy, fresh, and delicious. Perfect for a summer dinner. Or anytime really. A must try!
For the Tilapia
4 Tilapia Filets
1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1 Teaspoon Chili Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Powder
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Teaspoon Brown Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
1-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
For the Mango Salsa
1 Mango (peeled and diced)
1/2 Red onion (diced)
1 Bunch of Chopped Cilantro
1/2 Cup of Diced Cherry Tomatoes (I used Flavor Bombs Cherry Tomatoes from Sam's)
1 Clove Minced Garlic
Pinch of Salt
Juice of 1 Lime (add the zest too if you like it extra limey)
Sprinkle the seasoning on both sides of the tilapia. Heat olive oil in a flat pan to high heat. When pan is smoking hot, add seasoned tilapia to the pan and sear on each side for 3 minutes per side.
Top with mango salsa after cooking.
Enjoy!
