Oh man do I love to entertain. I think I get this from my mom. I remember helping her prepare for parties at our home growing up. We would make finger foods for days. Our house was always the best party house…filled with lots of laughter…and of course, great food. I think I even remember her dressing me up in a grass skirt to serve hors d’oeuvres at her Hawaiian luau. Wish I had a photo of that.
I have taken everything I learned from my mama and carried it with me. I love to set a pretty table, make a beautiful Charcuterie board, put on some relaxing background music, and knock out a meal that makes guests swoon. Nothing makes me happier. I honestly believe that the best things come from people sitting down together to share a meal.
But more than that, I love to make my guests feel special when they come into my home. A pretty table setting, a specialty cocktail, unique finger foods, and good ole Southern hospitality. All elements I like to bring to any event.
