My no fail recipe for beef brisket will soon become a family favorite. It comes together super fast and produces a tender and flavorful meat. It's great by itself and also wonderful combined with warm BBQ sauce and eaten on a bun.
1 @reynoldsbrands Turkey Sized Browning Bag
8-10 lb Beef Brisket
2 Tbl Flour
1/4 Cup Red Wine
1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Cup Liquid Smoke
1 Whole Sweet Onion, Sliced
Several Cranks Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
Garlic Powder to Taste
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Place flour in oven bag, close bag together and shake inside bag until bag is evenly coated.
Rinse brisket, season with black pepper and garlic powder.
Place brisket, fat side down, in oven bag.
Add sliced onions to top of brisket in bag.
Pour liquid mixture over the top of the brisket & onions. Note: You could also use a Lipton Onion Soup Mix Packet here as well.
Close bag securely with the provided zip tie that comes with the browning bag.
Poke two sets of fork holes in the top. Lay bag in large baking dish.
Bake for 3-4 hours or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.
Let meat rest about 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
