Mummy Brie

Side Dish

In case you didn’t know, Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays. I love everything about it. The festivities. Little ones in chicken costumes. The decorations. What’s not to love, right?

Creating Halloween-themed appetizers for our annual costume party is always fun too. I gave this Mummy Brie a test-run on a @reasors video shoot and turned out so cute and was super simple to make! It’s a must try and will be the hit of your Halloween bash.

Ingredients

All-purpose flour, for surface

1 Sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 (7-oz.) wheel of brie

1 large egg

2 mini pepperoni

2 sliced black olives

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°.

Place wheel of brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Add two mini pepperoni for eyes. Top each piece of pepperoni with one sliced, black olive.

On a floured work surface, unroll puff pastry and cut into 1/2” strips. Wrap strips around brie like a mummy. Tuck loose puff pastry ends under wheel of brie. Whisk egg and brush over pastry.

Bake until brie is warmed through and gooey and puff pastry is deeply golden, approximately 20 minutes.

Serve with crackers. Happy Halloween!
