This one is drool-worthy. Cinnamon-kissed apples wrapped in golden crescent rolls, bathed in a sweet Mountain Dew glaze. Quick, easy, and pure dessert bliss!
2 large green apples
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 (8 oz) cans of Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls
2 sticks of Cabot Unsalted Butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup Mountain Dew soda
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9x13 baking dish and set aside.
Peel apples. Slice into even slices, aiming for roughly 8 slices per apple.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of cinnamon on apples, then toss to evenly coat.
Lay the crescent rolls flat and divide the triangles by tearing or cutting along the perforated lines.
Lay one apple slice at the largest end of each crescent triangle, then roll the apple up into each piece. Repeat with the remaining dough segments.
Place each apple-filled crescent piece into the prepared pan, in two rows, leaving a little room between each piece.
In a small pot, bring the butter, remaining cinnamon, sugars, and Mountain Dew to a boil.
Once boiling, evenly pour the mixture over the crescent rolls in the pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbling and the dumplings are golden brown on top.
Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Feel free to pour any extra sauce from the pan on top.
