Making your own homemade pizza is a cinch and so much better than take out, in my opinion. This Chicken Sausage, Tomato, and Basil pizza is so fresh, delicious and flavorful. And the best part, so fun to make as a family!
Trader Joe’s Pizza Crust (or your preferred pizza crust)
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 jar pizza sauce (Trader Joe’s or your choice)
Fresh basil, julienned
1 package Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage (or Pork)
Campari tomatoes, thinly sliced
Kosher salt
8 oz pre-sliced fresh Buffalo mozzarella
1 tsp red pepper flakes
2 tsp olive oil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Let refrigerated pizza dough sit for 20 minutes.
Air fry chicken sausages for 10 minutes; let rest, then slice.
Slice tomatoes, pat dry, sprinkle with salt, and let sit for 10 minutes.
Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
Roll out dough on a floured surface to fit the cookie sheet.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
Top with sliced tomatoes, sausage, basil, and Buffalo mozzarella.
Brush pizza edges with olive oil, sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
Add more basil and red pepper flakes.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
