Football season is officially upon us. Searching for the perfect appetizer to take to your next watch party? These Bacon-Wrapped Brown Sugar Jalapeño Poppers are always a hit! You've seen them before, but adding that little extra something with the brown sugar pushes them over the top. SUPER YUM!
10 Fresh Jalapeños
1-2 Block Cream Cheese
1 lb Peppered Bacon
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
Toothpicks
Wash and clean jalapeños. Cut jalapeños in half. Scrape out the seeds and the vein. Stuff each with cream cheese. Cut bacon strip in half. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with bacon. Poke a toothpick through he bacon and the jalapeño if you wish. Place jalapeños on a drip pan and bake uncovered in a 425 degree, pre-heated oven for approximately 20 minutes. (Or until bacon is cooked and jalapeños look tender.) After cooking, pull jalapeños out and sprinkle each one with brown sugar. Place back in the oven on broil and watch until brown sugar becomes toasted and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly and serve.
